Preservatives

Preservatives are added to food products to prevent decomposition and extend shelf life, but there are many rules and regulations regarding the use of preservatives, with mandatory regulation in place in many countries. Eurofins Angler Biochemlab offers preservative analysis to support BPOM licensing or comply with export regulations. We can analyse over 10 types of preservatives, including Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Propionic Acid, and p-Hydroxybenzoate (Paraben), among others. We use two instruments for this analysis: HPLC-UV and LC-MS/MS.
